The Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary administrative offices are located on Skidaway Island, southeast of Savannah, Georgia on the campus of the University of Georgia Skidaway Institute of Oceanography (SkIO), approximately 30 minutes from downtown Savannah, Georgia.

Head east on East Bay Street. Continue straight onto General McIntosh Blvd. Turn left onto East President Street. Turn left onto the South Truman Parkway ramp and continue on the Truman Parkway for 8 miles. Take the GA-204Spur/Whitefield Ave exit and take a left at the light to get onto Spur 204 East (Diamond Causeway). See below for directions from the Truman/GA-204 Spur East intersection.

Take exit 94 for GA-204 toward Savannah/Pembroke and turn east on GA-204 toward. Continue on GA-204 East for 8 miles. Take a slight right onto Harry S Truman Pkwy/Truman Pkwy over the Vernon River. Take the GA-204Spur/Whitefield Ave exit and turn right onto Whitefield Ave/GA-204 Spur East. See below for directions from the Truman/GA-204 Spur East intersection.

Continue on Spur 204 East over the Moon River bridge and the Diamond Causeway bridge. Once you have crossed the tall Diamond Causeway bridge you are on Skidaway Island. You will continue through two traffic lights. Turn left at the 4-way stop sign onto McWhorter Drive. Follow McWhorter Drive (3.9 miles) and stay left at the first blue University of Georgia navigation sign. After passing through a few curves, the trees will open up to a field on the left. At the beginning of this field, to the right is the entrance to the Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary administrative office, just after a blue directory sign.
