The purpose of this list is to announce sanctuary actitivies and events pertaining to education, research and monitoring, enforcement, and other items of interest. Engaging the public and partner agencies in sanctuary activities is a priority of the National Marine Sanctuary Program, as involvement and input is integral to progressive management, outreach, and policy development.

This opportunity to join our e-mail list is really a way to be part of an "announcement" list. The messages sent on the list serve are designed to direct you to new informaton posted on the sanctuary website and keep you informed of upcoming meeting dates and breaking news. Using a listserve instead of an e-mail list provides easier information management and better security. Information sent to the list will not be distributed through other e-mails so you will not recieve duplicate information from the sanctuary staff.
